Tour Description

This one is probably the Arenal Volcano tour you were looking for and couldn’t find anywhere on your internet search! Most of the tours from San Jose to the Arenal Volcano area offer just a visit to the Sarchi Oxcart Factory and the usual visit to the hot springs, but this Arenal Volcano Mega Combo Tour will really show you the beauties of Costa Rica in one single day. On this tour we go along the less-traveled “scenic route”, where we will take our time to show you a coffee plantation and do a “mini coffee tour”, which includes degustation of our delicious Costa Rican coffee. We would also show you the famous La Paz Waterfall and the San Fernando Waterfall, as well as a hummingbird’s observation point and the famous “iguana bridge”, where you would have the chance to see lots of iguanas (no kidding, sometimes hundreds of them!). During this beautiful ride we also stop in places where very often we see sloths, monkeys and other forms of wildlife. Once in Arenal, we will treat you with an authentic Costa Rican lunch in our favorite restaurant in town, and after lunch, we would take you to the Zip Lining Adventure, that includes a total of 9 zip line cables immersed in a beautiful rainforest jungle, a 50 meters rappel (150 feet) right on the Arenal River, and a Maleku Indigenous Tribe Presentation done by real Maleku People, where you would learn a little bit about our native’s culture. Then, continue your tour by resting and relaxing for a couple of hours at the hot springs; a series of hot springs’ pools with mineral waters naturally heated by the volcano, located right at the base of the mountain and surrounded by the most beautiful tropical gardens. At the end of the day, we would take you for dinner on the way back to San Jose.

Special Notes:

* For those participants who don’t wish to do the zip lining tour (which also includes the rappelling and the Maleku Tribe presentation), we include an interesting rainforest walk where we normally observe more wildlife, as well as visiting various gardens of butterflies, frogs, turtles, crocodiles and leaf-cutter ants (this request MUST BE done at the time of reservation).

* You must understand that this is a full day tour in which you might end up very tired depending on your physical condition, but the advantage is that you would see more on this tour than any other Arenal Volcano tour offered from San Jose.

* If the zip lining tour has to be cancelled due to any reason (weather, maintenance, etc.), the rainforest walk would be done instead.

* This tour includes man-made hot springs pools, filled with natural thermal waters that come from underneath the volcano (all of the hot springs in the Arena Volcano area are man-made pools).
