Our Sloth Sanctuary & Caribbean Beaches tour is definitely very unique compared to other tours offered from the San Jose area because you would have the opportunity to visit the world-famous Sloth Sanctuary, featured in the Animal Planet’s TV show “Meet the Sloths”; as well as visiting our beautiful beaches on the Caribbean side of the country. On this tour, you will learn about the fabulous sloths, what they eat, how they live & everything that makes them so unique! After your sloth adventure, we will take you to have a Typical Caribbean style lunch, for you to taste the cuisine of this particular region, very different than the dishes eaten in the rest of Costa Rica. After lunch, we will take you for a walk at the famous Cahuita National Park, where we normally observe a good amount of wildlife, such as howler monkeys, white-faced capuchin monkeys, coatimundis, sloths, lots of birds, among other animals. At the end of the walk, we’ll give you time on your own to go swimming, or explore other trails and beaches of this beautiful Caribbean National Park. After Cahuita, we’ll take you to explore a beach in the area called “Playa Negra”, where you will be able to take some pictures before heading back to your hotel in San Jose.
