Special Notes

All participants of this Arenal Volcano, La Fortuna Waterfall & Hot Springs Tour must be in a fairly good physical condition, since a good amount of hiking is required at the lava hike, and at the waterfall tour (to get to the waterfall the participants must walk 400+ steps down and then up to the starting point).

The lava hike included on this tour is done at the base of Arenal Volcano. On this tour, we don’t go to the summit or crater, since there are no roads or trails to get to the top, and it is a restricted area by law (the slopes of this volcano are very steep, making it impossible to build roads or trails to its summit).

The hot springs included on this tour are man-made pools, filled with natural thermal mineral water from the volcano (all hot springs parks in the Arenal Volcano area are man-made pools).
