Our Costa Rica Coffee and Chocolate Tour is a great opportunity for you to learn about 2 important products of Costa Rica, and at the same time, be able to see many small-non touristic local towns on the way to the attractions. Once we pick you up from your hotel, we’ll take you to our coffee plantation located on the foothills of the Poas Volcano, where you will learn about the careful process involved in the cultivation, harvesting and roasting of coffee; and of course you will have the chance at the end of the tour to taste some of the best coffee in the world! After your coffee experience we’ll take you to do the interesting chocolate tour, where you will learn about the history of cocoa and the uses our natives gave to it hundreds of years before the Europeans colonized the Americas, as well as the evolution of the product until today. You would also see demonstrations on how our natives processed the cocoa and be able to taste it the way they did it; as well as tasting the delicious Costa Rican chocolate the way we know it today.
