Tour Description
Participate in the adventure tour from San Jose with the most activities and attractions. Your San Jose Adventure Combo tour starts in the morning when you are picked up from your hotel, and then will travel to the Arenal Volcano area where the activities are done. Enjoy a scenic ride of the Costa Rican countryside, and prepare for the adventure when you arrive at Arenal.
Fly over the canopy of the rainforest on a zip-lining course with 9 adventure cables, where you will get great views of the Arenal River Canyon. Appreciate the rainforest jungle up close on this zip lining adventure, where it is very common to see wild animals of Costa Rica, mainly monkeys, sloths, and toucans. Rappel down to the Arenal River at the end of the zip lining on a 50-meter high rappel line. After rappelling, enjoy a short indigenous tribe presentation performed by real people from a native tribe.
Savor an authentic Costa Rican lunch at the base of Arenal Volcano, with great views of this mountain on clear days. Continue your exciting adventure by doing white water tubbing at the Arenal River, truly the highlight of this San Jose Adventure Combo Tour. This tubbing trip is not done in a controlled man-made environment; it is actually done in the complete wilderness of the Arenal River, which is surrounded by lush beautiful Tropical Rainforest
Following you will do a horseback riding tour on the foothills of the Arenal Volcano, where you can admire the gorgeous landscapes of this region of Costa Rica. Towards the end of the day, you will be taken to relax for a couple of hours at the thermal mineral waters of the hot springs at the base of the impressive Arenal Volcano. Later on, you will head back to your hotel in San Jose and dinner will be served on the way there.
Special Notes
You must understand that this is a full-day tour in which you might end up very tired depending on your physical condition, but the advantage is that you would be able to do more adventure activities than any other adventure tour offered from San Jose.
Drop off in the Arenal-La Fortuna hotels is available. Please note that if you choose this option, dinner will not be included in your tour because it’s done in a restaurant on the way back to San Jose. Also, there is an extra charge for drop-offs with luggage, but in the case of this tour, it doesn’t apply because the cost of the dinner will cover for the drop off charge. If you wish to take this option, you must let us know at the time of booking.
This tour includes man-made hot springs pools, filled with natural thermal waters that come from underneath the volcano (all of the hot springs in the Arena Volcano area are man-made pools).
The horseback riding part of this San Jose Adventure Tour is short, it takes about 30 minutes in total (we cannot do it longer because otherwise, we wouldn’t have time to do the rest of the activities).
If any of the activities have to be canceled for any reason (weather, maintenance, etc.), a refund would be provided just for the portion of the trip that was not done.
