Tour Description
Learn everything about Costa Rican Coffee and visit the main landmarks of the city of San Jose on this cultural tour. You will be picked up in the morning from your San Jose area hotel and will go directly to a coffee plantation located on the fertile lands of Poas Volcano.
On this tour you will have the opportunity to visit a real working coffee farm where you will have the chance to see the people working at the processing plant; most of the coffee tours offered in Costa Rica are done in places set up for tourists, but are not the real place where the coffee is processed. At this plantation you will learn the whole process to produce coffee, from the moment is planted, the way is produced, harvested and processed all the way to the cup of the delicious drink; this tour also includes degustation of the delicious coffee that is produced at this farm.
Continuing with the tour you will visit the main landmarks of San Jose, the Capital City of Costa Rica. On this part of the tour we will take you to walk on the streets of its Central Avenue, where you will have the opportunity to take pictures of the beautiful National Theater, the Culture Plaza and visit by foot its picturesque Central Market, the most iconic cultural place of the city and the favorite among its visitors. At the Central Market you will see the everyday living of Costa Rican people and will learn about the traditions, food, customs and cultural overall. After the visit to this market you will continue the tour by vehicle and will visit other important landmarks of the city, such as La Sabana Central Park, the National Stadium, the historic Amon neighborhood, the National Cathedral, the Congress and other points of interest. At the end of these visits you will be taken back to your hotel.
