Discover the amazing Monteverde Cloud Forest area, one of the main touristic attractions of Costa Rica. Your tour starts in the morning when you get picked up from your hotel in the San Jose area in an air-conditioned vehicle, and then you will travel towards the Central Pacific Region, where you will enjoy beautiful views of forests, mountain ranges, farms, and the coastline.

During your journey to Monteverde, enjoy interesting stops to make the most of your day. Stop first in the largest fruit stand of the country, where you will learn about the huge variety of tropical fruits of Costa Rica. Continue on to the monkeys’ observation point near the Port of Puntarenas, where we normally observe a large number of playful White-Faced Capuchin Monkeys in their natural habitat.

Closer to Monteverde you will make a couple stops to take great pictures of the impressive Gulf of Nicoya (weather permitting) and the beautiful Monteverde Mountains from the distance. Once in the small rural town of Santa Elena, savor a delicious authentic Costa Rican lunch. Following you will board the Cloud Forest Sky Tram, where you will be able to see the lush Cloud Forest Jungles of Costa Rica from a bird’s eye; the views are spectacular from this gondola ride.

Back on the ground, hike the Monteverde Cloud Forest with your expert guide, and learn about the flora and fauna of this rare and endangered ecosystem. Explore the dense jungles from the Sky Walk Hanging Bridges tour and get a different perspective from the canopy of these forests, which are home to many wildlife species of Costa Rica, such as the Resplendent Quetzal, the Emerald Toucanet, the Three-Wattled Bellbird, howler monkeys, coatimundis, sloths, among others. At the end of the hike, travel back to your San Jose hotel.
